To mark the occasion Surendranath Centenary school celebrated National Doctor's Day in the school premises. They expressed their gratitude towards their selfless services. This day is celebrated to pay tribute to the great Doctor and Philanthropist Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy.The activities were organised by the Health Club of the school. A Blood Donation Camp was organized in the campus, a team from RIMS Blood bank offered their valuable services to the camp. Our teaching , non teaching staff and many parents donated blood with proud hearts. Approximately _15_units of blood were collected. All the collected blood was sent to RIMS, Ranchi to help and save the precious lives. The parents appreciated the initiative taken by the school. It is also the part of the Community service done by the school. Other than that several other activities were also organised like the sports teachers monitored the height and weight of the students of class II. Tips for oral hygiene was shared by the Parent doctors, Dr. Mahadev & Dr. Santosh Kumar in Junior wing. Dental check up was also done by them.The Guest lecturer Dr. Govind Madhav who is a consultant neurologist in RIMS graced the occasion. He addressed the students by saying that we need to follow our heart and serve for mankind .The Principal Samita Sinha said that we need to pay back what we take from the society, she encouraged the students to read, watch the relevant things to learn how to become a good doctor , who want to choose this noble profession .
