Van Mahotsav @ SCS 03 July 2021

Vanmahotsav, a week long festival of tree plantation is organised every year in the first week of July across India. In an earnest attempt to lend a green touch to the environment and sensitise the students about their role in conserving it, Surendranath Centenary school celebrated Vanmahotsav week .The focus of the Celebration was towards forming a personal connection between the students and trees through a process of experience, reflection and creation. The school authority took an initiative by planting the saplings of Jacaranda trees and many more to maintain the greenery and beauty in the school premises. The Principal Mrs. Samita Sinha ,Vice Principal Mr. Debasish Bhattacharya, senior teachers Mr. Asit Pradhan and Mrs. Annanya Sen were the part of this green drive. Different activities were carried out by the students of

 UKG . They delivered speeches on medicinal plants, gifted plant saplings to their friends, relatives and neighbours . A group of students performed regional dances with delight on the theme through online platform. The tiny toddlers recited "Trees are our life" and "Van humara jeevan hae" .

 A strong message was delivered by a school alumni (Parent).
