The School-An Overview

Spread over a sprawling lush green campus and equipped with the best of amenities, the school has two separate buildings for the Junior and Senior Section.

JUNIOR WING (Ranadeb Choudhari Block)

The big playground, Library, Computer and Maths Laboratory, Sports and Audio Visual rooms, Digital Classrooms and several Activity Rooms enable students hone their skills in different areas. Trained and experienced teachers create an engaging, joyful and learning environment catering to the needs of learners. Children are exposed to age appropriate, physical, educational and social activities through play based methods, focusing on holistic development. The curriculum is student-centric aiming to develop all aspects and capabilities of the learners.

SENIOR WING

Spread over four floors, it includes a well stocked spacious library with around 16500 books. The new library for the +2 section promotes the process of learning and facilitates the access to information and resources. Books of fiction, non fiction, reference, novels, encyclopedia etc are provided to the learners by the librarian.

The senior section has 3 computer labs, each with 40 personal computing workstations with Microsoft Windows 11, high speed internet, Mission 7 printer and scanner facilities. Qualified instructors and special packages (graphic, web design, data analysis etc) promote scientific and technological literacy.

In addition to the Mathematics laboratory there are three separate well equipped Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories. Separate laboratories for the Sr. Sec. Section is an addition to the academic wing. The separate Activity Rooms for Art, Dance and Music provide opening to the students to nurture their talents in performing arts. The renovated, well designed, centrally air conditioned ‘Vidyasagar Auditorium’ is a central unit for addressing students and parents, school functions, workshops and interactive sessions. The Multipurpose Hall, Conference Room and Parent Teacher Interaction Room serve their purpose.

Tata ClassEdge digital classrooms provide instructional e-learning space for the students of Class I to X. It enhances student learning, promotes digital literacy & inclusive learning environment and improves social and thinking skills in students.

In keeping with the NEP 2020, the school has established Atal Tinkering Lab under the scheme Atal Innovation Mission (NITI Aayog, Government of India). It provides space for students (VI- XII) to use modern tools and equipment to work on hands-on projects and learn from the practical exposure. The objective is to foster creativity, innovation and problem solving skills and also nurture a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship from an early age. Various activities and competitions are organised to encourage students to ideate, prototype and develop innovative solution to real-world problems. The aim is to spur the spark, go beyond the regular curriculum and text book learning and prepare students for future challenges in science and technology.

The school strongly encourages learning by doing. To provide ample exposure to experiential learning, the school has partnered for a five year long initiative with the Adani Cement FutureX to uphold the spirit of sustainable innovation and collaboration. This partnership aims at developing India’s next generation of leaders and innovators by connecting classrooms with real world industry and sustainability challenges. This collaboration focuses on bridging the gap between school education and employability/entrepreneurial skills. Students would thus be entitled to priority access to internships, leadership events, visits to the plant and many other collaborative opportunities under the guidance of technical and industry experts from Adani Cement.

School ERP system is functional through which all information from school office and teachers is provided regularly.

AUDITORIUM

The large auditorium with a wide stage, green room and seating capacity of 500 provides ample space for the children to use it from time to time for various curricular and co-curricular activities .It also sees Workshops , Interactive Sessions, Seminars, Career Counselling Sessions , Competitions & Celebrations . The acousted design fulfills the specific demands of the performing arts .

ACTIVITY ROOMS

The separate Art, Dance & Music rooms in Primary & Senior Wing provide opening to the students to cultivate and nurture their talents in performing arts. Exhibitions, programmes and activities are organized on regular basis to celebrate student accomplishments and show case their creativity .

LAWN

The extensive immaculate green lawn adds to the greenery of the campus giving aesthetic pleasure. The caring hands of the school gardeners keep the lawn beautiful and healthy .

MEDICAL ROOM

The school provides the necessary first aid and parents are informed immediately in case of any mishap. Further more with the consent of the parent and on their request, emergency cases are taken to the hospital if required.

CONFERENCE ROOM

Meetings, Seminars & Conferences at school, state and regional levels are held in the aesthetically designed high tech enabled conference room. White boards, laptop, projection, comfortable seating arrangement help continue hastle free presentations.

STAFFROOMS

Two staffrooms in the primary wing and two in the senior wing other than separate room for the section coordinators are seen. It is a place to share ideas and develop healthy relationship among colleagues. It is provided with individual cabinets and comfortable working setup .It is here that teachers discuss the teaching learning strategies and work upon the lesson plan for slow learners, average and extraordinary students.

PARENT TEACHER INTERACTION ROOM

We believe that the way schools articulate and interact with parents affects the extent and quality of parents involvement with their children and helps improve the academic performance. The observations of the teachers and the expectations of the parents are brought together in parent Teacher Interaction Room’ wherein discussions are held,how to make strong the weaker zones of our children.

FIELD FOR OUTDOOR GAMES

To enhance the child's mental & physical growth and to develop team spirit, friendliness and sportsmanship the field is used for outdoor games like cricket, khokho, kabaddi, throwball, athletics etc. This helps in motor skill development. We believe sports and games teach the value of cooperation & unity, improves health, develops character, teaches obedience, discipline and order and imbibes fellow feeling thus guiding children to walk on the path of virtue and duty.

SECURITY

Security guards from NIS cover up every corner of the campus. In order to ensure safety and security the school has installed CCTV cameras covering both the wings.
