Surendranath centenary School has always believed in commending the students to inspire them to scale greater heights. The school organised a felicitation ceremony for the students of classes 10 and 12th to acknowledge and applaud their commendable achievement. The school fraternity was blessed to have Mr. Naman Priyesh Lakra an IAS officer and an alumni of batch 2006 of Surendranath Centenary School as the chief guest . At present he is serving as DC in Giridih . Sri Jitu Charan Ram, an ex MLA was the guest of honour who is also a proud parent of Aishwarya Prachi, the topper of class 12th( Science). The felicitation programme started with lighting of the lamp by the Honourable Chief Guest, respected Principal Mrs. Samita Sinha, Vice Principal Mrs. Anna Kutti and Academic coordinator Mrs. Neena Das. The felicitation programme started with a welcome song which was sung by the students of classes 3 to5 to welcome the chief guest, other esteemed guests and SCS parent family. The Principal addressed the gathering by thanking the alumni, Naman Priyesh Lakra to accept the invitation. She also thanked the parents to spend their valuable time by attending this programme .She briefed the School Board result of 10th &12th (2021 22) batch. She congratulated Aishwarya Prachi for securing 95.6% in AISSCE examination in science stream ,Aditi Mukherjee for securing 97.4% in AISSCE( commerce) , Aashka Mishra and Anushree (AISSE) for securing 97.6%. She praised the hard work put up by the teachers and parents. A dance was presented on Ganesh Vandana and a streto classical was also performed by the Senior girls on a self composed poem by Prachi Kumari of class 10 B on this occasion. The chief guest showered the pearls of wisdom by saying that due importance must be given to co curricular activities along with academics for holistic development of the students.
