The Heritage Club of Surendranath Centenary School organized a week‑long Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav (4 – 11 December 2025) to honour MahakaviSubramania Bharati and India`s rich linguistic and cultural heritage. Students from classes I to XII participated in Language Wall, Poetry Across Languages, Music Through Languages, Podcast Presentation on Indian languages and festivals, Quiz on Indian Languages and Festivals, Bhasha Mitra Collaboration, and a multilingual story chain titled The Train. Language Clubs explored Indian languages through discussions and sessions fostering curiosity and love for India`s diverse languages. On the final day, students showcased a Language Theatre featuring skits, folk dances, and songs in multiple languages, followed by a Bhasha Mela where students and their parents set up stalls representing one Indian language each, displaying its script, traditional food, and common phrases, thus bringing the school and community together. "The enthusiasm and creativity shown by our students during Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav reaffirmed our belief that language is the heartbeat of our nation—diverse yet united," said Madam Principal Samita Sinha.
