The Eco Club of Surendranath Centenary School organized a series of engaging activities to commemorate World Environment Day, encouraging students to participate from home during the summer break. This initiative showcases the students' responsibility and commitment to environmental conservation, even outside the school setting. Students from Classes I to V showcased their creativity through poster-making on "Say No to Plastic," crafting bird feeders from waste materials, making paper bags, and conducting interviews with grandparents/elders on environmental changes. The senior wing students (Class VI to X) demonstrated their talents through various initiatives, including "Earth Beats," a song promoting environmental conservation, neighborhood garbage pick-up drives, "I'm a Planet Protector," a video project, and crafting accessories from natural materials. Madam Principal Samita Sinha said, "These activities will inspire our students to become eco-conscious and sustainable in their daily lives."
