As part of CBSEs P.N. Panicker Reading Day-Month Celebration 2026, the Literary Club of Surendranath Centenary School organized a series of reading and literacy activities from 19th June to 18th July 2026 to promote reading habits, digital literacy, and lifelong learning among students. The Junior Wing participated in activities such as Read Aloud Poetry, Meri Kahani Meri Jubani, Word Formation, Maths Storytelling, Discussion on Famous Hindi Books, Comic Strip Creation, and Draw and Describe Your Study Corner. The Senior Wing engaged in Story Reading Circle, Vocabulary Hunt, Book Cover Analysis, Shabdkosh Nirman, Samachar Samiksha, Book vs Movie Discussion, and Class Magazine preparation, encouraging critical thinking and creative expression. An Inter-House English Elocution Competition and a Book Fair were also organized for students of both wings. Principal Mrs. Samita Sinha appreciated the efforts of the Literary Club, teachers, and students, stating that such initiatives inspire a love for reading and help nurture informed, confident, and lifelong learners.
