One Day Capacity Building Programme 2026 @ SCS 08 August 2026

Surendranath Centenary School organized a One-Day Capacity Building Programme on "Active Learning" on 8th August 2026. The key objective

of the session was to equip teachers with effective strategies to make classrooms more interactive, engaging, and student-centred. The resource persons, Mrs. Paromita Saha, Principal, Loyola Convent School, and Mrs. Neeta Pandey, School Manager, CM School of Excellence, Bariatu, focused on distinguishing between active and passive learning approaches and highlighting the role of student engagement in fostering critical thinking, retention, and motivation. Various active learning strategies were discussed during the session, along with the importance of integrating Physically Active Learning (PAL) into the school curriculum to enhance students` concentration, participation, and overall well-being.
