National Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Sports Club of Surendranath Centenary School to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. The celebration began with a speech highlighting the significance of the day, followed by an oath-taking ceremony where students pledged to uphold discipline, fair play and sportsmanship. Students of the Junior Wing enthusiastically participated in Passing the Ball, Tug of War, Tunnel Ball, Kangaroo and Relay Races, fostering teamwork and coordination. The Senior Wing showcased their skills in Basketball and Volleyball (Boys) and Kho-Kho (Girls), displaying agility, alertness and team spirit. Madam Principal Mrs. Samita Sinha appreciated the spirited participation of the students and encouraged them to make sports an integral part of their lives.
